People just like you give up on their weight loss program everyday because they don’t get the results they want. Though they may lose weight quickly in the beginning, all of a sudden weight loss seems slower or stops altogether. Losing weight shouldn’t be a solitary activity. It is suggested to enlist the help of a good family doctor and the support of your friends and family to help you stay motivated. Several things keep people from losing the weight they want, and with an objective outside opinion, many people will fail to see what’s keeping them from making their goal a reality.
Keeping track of your eating habits and the amount of exercise you get daily will help ensure your mind from forgetting about those times when you were cheating. People only remember the difficulty of being on a restricted diet and oftentimes forget about the times throughout the day where they ate something that wasn’t a part of the plan. Doing this several times a day can add up to thousands of calories per week, which would account for a slowdown in weight loss. Write down everything you eat, no matter how small. This will keep you honest and accountable for your actions. Everything you eat does count.
Weekends can also contribute to a change in the amount of weight you are losing. If in the beginning you experienced quick weight loss and now find your progress grinding to a halt, check out your weekend activity. Chances are in the beginning you were gung-ho about being active all week long, while recently you have decided it’s okay to take a little break. While there’s nothing wrong with relaxing, your body has gotten used to an increased amount of physical activity on weekends and is now bored when you don’t move at least one day.
Increasing physical activity but being lax on your diet will not increase your chances of losing weight. Exercise is pointless without the change in diet, and changing your diet is pointless without exercise. One of the problems inherent in any diet plan is that exercise tends to increase hunger, especially if you’ve been sedentary for a long time. A good option to consider is combining a balanced diet with exercise and a natural appetite suppressant like hoodia. This will help control your hunger during crucial times, such as after an intense workout. Don’t ruin a good exercise session by pigging out afterwards.
